Jerusalem

2014 Cedar 26.5" x 3" x 20" (L x W x H)

Jerusalem is the most interesting city to me. So many interwoven dimensions of history, religions and cultures. My impressions: The center is the Old City where the heart of a religious conflict is confounded by walls. On the left (south) are the archaeology/museums (the ancient scrolls), on the bottom (east) are the Hebrew University at Mount Scopus and the Mount of Olives. On the right (north) are new neighborhoods next to old villages. On the top (west) is the new city, bridge and Mount Hartzell’s national cemetery.
