Containment

Elements:
A red ball (covered imperfectly by clear sea glass), emits emerging flames (made of copper ribbons); the ball rests on black round polished granite base.

Narrative:
The granite base is a "black box", representing all that there is, all that could be known. The cracked red ball of fire is all what we presently know. The annihilating flames continuously reconcile our state-of-the-art knowledge.
